Soldier from Minnesota Killed in Kuwait
We mourn the tragic loss of Sgt. First Class Nicole M. Amor of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, who was killed in a drone strike while serving in Kuwait. She was a wife, a mother of two, and a Minnesotan who answered the call to serve our country. Our hearts are with her family, friends, and fellow service members during this unimaginable loss.
It is during moments like this that the mission of Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) is most critical. When a Minnesota service member is lost in the line of duty, MMAF provides a $5,000 financial grant to the family of the fallen to help ease the burden during a time of profound grief.
Since 2005, MMAF has awarded $13.6 million to more than 20,000 Minnesota service members and their families, standing alongside them in times of sacrifice, hardship and loss.
Please keep Sgt. 1st Class Amor and her loved ones in your prayers.
